By Megan Kinney// Staff Writer
The year of 2016 was full of surprises, let downs and millions of memories. Every year brings us new adventures and challenges. Many individuals are looking forward to what 2017 will bring them and are making resolutions. These resolutions help people lead a more positive and healthy life. The Campus Chronicle ventured around campus to find out what kind of resolutions students have made for the New Year.
Kitt Curtis, freshman, plans on taking a one-second video every single day of 2017. At the end of the year she will have an awesome 365-second video that reflects her whole year. Kitt said, “I wanted to do this because I think it would be awesome to look back and really appreciate all the fun times my friends and I had.”
Ben Lodewyk, freshman, said, “This year I am determined to work really hard in school and make the best out of my education.” You are at college to benefit your future, so take full advantage of it. Strive to be your best self and one day all your hard work will pay off.
Will Via, freshman, has never made a New Year’s resolution, but this year he is driven to be more introspective. Via said, “Just being in college the first semester, I realized I needed to take time and really think about life and truly appreciate it.” College goes fast, so why not take the time to reflect on all the awesome friends and opportunities you’ve been given?
When a new year arrives, the opportunity for a fresh start arises. One chapter in your life has finished, and now it’s time to get excited to see what the next chapter holds. In this life, you get to be the one and only author of your mystery book, so make it one extraordinary story!
