There are plenty of games that will take place throughout the semester, but you may be unable to go to all of them. Because of this, it is important to keep in mind some games that are likely to be the most exciting. Here are the top 5 HPU Panthers games that you should most consider attending.

1. Men’s Soccer, Saturday August 17th vs. Georgia Southern University
Begins at 7 p.m at Vert Stadium

This is the very first Men’s Soccer game you can go to. Men’s Soccer games are a true favorite of mine. The atmosphere is on another level. With such a great team here at HPU, you should be excited for a game full of goals, amazing saves, and some great teamwork. Bring your roommate and your new HPU family to start the year off right. Do not be afraid to let your parents tag along as well. It is sure to be an exciting event.

2. Women’s Volleyball, Saturday November 2nd vs. Florida State
Begins at 1 p.m. at the Millis Center

Florida State’s volleyball team is currently ranked 30th in the nation. They finished second in the 2018 ACC standings, but that just means that it will be a more rewarding challenge for HPU. This will be a true test for the Panthers as they try and take down one of the biggest names in volleyball. The Panthers have a great deal of talent and will be sure to perform well.

3. Men’s Soccer, Tuesday October 8th vs. Duke and Tuesday October 22nd vs. Duke

Both begin at 7:00 p.m. at Duke University

Technically, this list is about the top 5 games you should go to, but there was no way that I could separate the importance of these two games. We lost 2-4 last year against the Demon Deacons, but came out victorious 1-0 against the Blue Devils. We are trying to take both games this year. There is no reason for us to not try and get both victories against to close rivals. With Duke being ranked #11 in the country and Wake Forest being ranked #6, it will be a big test for the team as they are on the road. It is surely worth the short drive, but you better be out there in all purple screaming for the Panthers.

4. Women’s Volleyball, Saturday September 28th vs. Radford
Begins at 2 p.m. at the Millis Center

A rematch of the 2018 Big South Championship is always a must go to. Last year we swept Radford 3 sets to 0 and we are trying to go back to the NCAA tournament. The first game in our Big South schedule comes home the the Millis Center and at home, the ladies do not lose often. We went 7-2 last year at home, this year, lets try and make it 9-0.

5. Women’s Soccer, Monday September 2nd vs. UNC Greensboro
Begins at 7 p.m. at Vert Stadium

Start your week off right with a Women’s Soccer game. Nothing sounds better to me than this exciting match. After a long day of classes, go watch our HPU team compete against our local rivals from Greensboro. Despite last year’s result from crosstown, there is no way they will let another team come on our turf and beat us. Our Lady Panthers will not disappoint, it is for sure a game you will not want to miss.
