Upcoming Greek philanthropy event updates

Sigma Sigma Sigma is holding their Spring Philanthropy Week from March 21 through March 25. Between Pie a Sigma Tri and their grilled cheese sale in Greek Village on the evening of March 24, the chapter raises money for the Sigma Sigma Sigma Foundation and the March of Dimes. They will also hold Sigma Night Live on March 23 at Hayworth Fine Arts Center from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a percentage night at Barberito’s on Saturday, March 25.
Zeta Tau Alpha is also holding their philanthropy week from March 21 to March 25. They held a #IThinkPink photobooth, as wells as sold Cookies for a Cure. On March 23 they have a Kiss Away Cancer event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wanek Philanthropy tables. They have a Think Pink, Think Pie event on March 24 in the Greek Village from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Their biggest event of the week is the Crown Classic Golf Tournament on March 25 at Holly Ridge Golf Links. Their proceeds go towards breast cancer education and awareness and the Zeta Tau Alpha foundation. They partner with Bright Pink, the NFL and the American Cancer Society to bring awareness to their philanthropy.
Alpha Chi Omega’s philanthropy week is March 26 though March 31. They are kicking off the week with their biggest event, Spiking Domestic Violence Goodbye. The volleyball tournament takes place on March 26 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Greek Volleyball courts. They also are selling donuts at Donut Let Love Hurt on March 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year is the second annual Walk a Mile in her shoes to honor the victims of domestic violence through a candlelit walk around campus on March 29 at 6 p.m. They will be holding the These Hands Don’t Hurt pledge on March 30 at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The proceeds from the week go directly to the Alpha Chi Omega foundation and the Carpenter House in High Point.
Kappa Delta’s philanthropy week is March 27 through April 2. They start out with Pie a Sweet Kaydee on March 27 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Greek Village. They will hold a bake sale on March 28 and a War of the Wings chicken wing eating contest from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on March 29 in Greek Village. On April 1, they have a Go Nuts for Donuts sale from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. in Greek Village. Their biggest event is the fourth Annual Superhero 5K and Fun Run from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting in Greek Village. Their philanthropy week is benefitting Prevent Child Abuse America.
Phi Mu is holding their philanthropy week from April 3 to April 7. They are holding a Hypoallergenic toy drive until the end of March. They are collecting the toys at their house, but also at Campus Concierge. They will be selling HPU stickers, donuts and coffee and making cards for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals during their philanthropy week at the philanthropy tables in Slane. They are supporting their philanthropy, which partners with Duke Children’s hospitals.
Sigma Nu is holding a Car Festival on April 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oak Hollow Mall. There will be a car show, corn hole, food trucks, a dunk tank and a raffle. Their proceeds from the event go towards UNC Comprehensive Cancer Center.
