Interested to know what’s playing at the Extraordinaire Cinema? Here’s a preview of what exciting films are coming up this semester:

War Dogs: Based on a true story, David Packouz (played by Miles Teller) and Efraim Diveroli (played by Jonah Hill) are small business owners turned weapons dealers. By fulfilling bids by the U.S. government to supply weapons, the pair grow rich off of filling these contracts. They face their biggest challenge yet when they must jump through hoops to arm the Afghan military and deal with international terrorists. Directed by Todd Phillips, this movie offers both comedy and drama, as well as a cameo by the real-life version of  Teller’s character (see if you can spot him in the film). It is airing in the cinema on Nov. 19 and 20.

The BFG: The film is an adaptation of a beloved Ronald Dahl classic as well as one of Steven Spielberg’s latest films. “The BFG” uses a blend of live characters and CGI to bring this renowned children’s book to the big screen. It follows the story of a young girl who befriends a big friendly giant (BFG). The two form an unlikely friendship considering that the other giants eat children. Together, the two go on an adventure to stop these giants from invading the human world. The film features some notable guest appearances such as Bill Hader and Adam Godley. This film will teach you that it is O.K. to be different and to be who you want to be. It is airing in the cinema on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Jason Bourne: Matt Damon reprises his role as the infamous Jason Bourne, back for yet another thrilling adventure. This time, Bourne looks to uncover his past and find out who he really is, but first, he must face off against the villainous CIA Director, played by Tommy Lee Jones. This thrilling drama will leave you on the edge of your seats as you ask yourself what can happen next. It is airing in the cinema on Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., and on Nov. 29 at 8 p.m.

Sausage Party: One of the few animated feature films for adults, “Sausage Party” is about a sausage and various assorted groceries trying to escape from being eaten by their human owners. This movie has the distinction of being the first animated film to be given an R-rating. The film has numerous notable actors voicing the characters such as Seth Rogen, Kristin Wiig, Michael Cera, James Franco, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Salma Hayek and Danny McBride, just to name a few. It is airing in the cinema Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., and on Dec. 4 at 5 p.m.

Equals: Can you imagine living in a world where emotions do not exist? You’ll get to see that world in this science-fiction and romance combination. Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart play coworkers who become attracted to each other through illness in a dystopian world where feelings have been eradicated. Will they be able to hide their ability to feel from the world around them? “Equals” is airing in the cinema Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., and on Dec. 6 at 8 p.m.
