Greek Life: what you missed and what to look out for

  • On Sept. 4, a Sorority Open House was held for any potential new members. All interested first-year women and any unaffiliated women were encouraged to attend. Sorority Open Houses were started last year, and give women an opportunity to talk with sisters before the recruitment process in January. There was also an IFC Recruitment BBQ for all interested first-year men and any unaffiliated upperclassmen to meet different brothers and see if they want to get involved with a fraternity.
  • On Sept. 6, the brothers of Pi Kappa Phi held a Chipotle give back night where 50 percent of the proceeds went to the Pi Kappa Phi: The Ability Experience.
  • Sept. 12-17 is Greek Week. Greek Week is a time where fraternities and sororities are paired together and compete against one another to win different games and events like the chili cook off and the lip sync battle.
