Welcome to the college life! You have chosen a university that is truly extraordinary and has so much to offer you as a student. High Point University has many amazing opportunities that you may not even know about. Keep reading to learn more.

1. CALLING ALL FOODIES. If you’re into healthier options and a healthier lifestyle, fear no more. There are amazing healthy options on campus from restaurants like the Farmers Market and The Great Day Bakery, both of which offer great salad options, sandwiches and much more. Also, 1924 Prime, a formal restaurant that offers five-course meals, only costs one magic meal! The tricky part is making a reservation, which you can do online at 1924prime.highpoint.edu.

2. FEEL THE BURN. There are so many free workout classes you can take in the recreation center on campus. All you have to do is call the recreation desk at 336-841-9732 and sign up for any class your heart desires. You are guaranteed to get an amazing workout from fellow student instructors. It’s a great time and a great way to meet new workout buds. (P.S.- it’s better to call in the morning before the classes fill up.)

3. FREE POPCORN. Yes, HPU does offer free movies with free popcorn, candy and drinks. Can this school get any better? The Extraordinaire Cinema is located on the lower level of the R.G. Wanek Center. It is guaranteed to show movies that are newer and older and plays various showings throughout the semester. You should grab some new buddies to head to a movie for the night or have a date night with that cute girl or guy in your new class.

4. GET INVOLVED. This week you will have the opportunity to go to the campus Activities Fair to sign up for various clubs and activities. I encourage you to go because in one of these clubs you may find your best friend/future roommate. HPU offers over 100 various clubs, so you’re bound to find something you like. You can be part of SGA, intramural teams and club sports and many more. Turn to page 6 for more information on the Activities Fair.

5. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY. HPU has so many amazing study spaces that you may not even know about. In Cottrell, HPU offers state-of-the-art conference rooms to help with group projects or study groups. There are super comfortable chairs and dry erase boards in many of the rooms. There is even a Starbucks to grab some coffee as you work. Also, there is Smith Library on campus which offers many private and group study spaces.
