Many prospective students are often in awe of High Point University’s buildings, academics and student life when they visit the school. This was the case for Aurel Lambert, an HPU sophomore who is originally from Murten, Switzerland.
Lambert’s hometown is located right on a lake in Switzerland, something about his home that he misses as he loves to swim during the summertime.
However, despite missing his hometown, Lambert has loved HPU ever since his first visit not long ago.
“When I first visited, I was like, ‘Wow, these buildings are amazing,’” Lambert said.
Lambert found out about the school through one of his friends, who is also currently an HPU student. After touring many schools located all over the East Coast, HPU was the last one he visited and he fell instantly in love.
Lambert’s favorite part about HPU is the pools and being able to swim, and he gets to relax by the pool between classes.
Lambert is majoring in business entrepreneurship, and so far his favorite class he has taken was his First Year Seminar class called Visions of Youth in China. In this class, he enjoyed watching a lot of interesting documentaries about Chinese children.
In addition to classes, Lambert also enjoys club baseball and ultimate frisbee amongst other activities he is involved in on campus.
“I play for fun and it is a great group of people with both of these clubs,” Lambert said.
So far, Lambert has enjoyed his time at HPU and looks forward to his next two years.
